24000 Mile Major Service
- Test all electrical systems
- Test wiper blades and arms
- Check locks & hinges lubricate as necessary
- Test shock absorbers
- Change engine oil & filter
- Check & top-up differential
- Grease as necessary (if applicable)
Under Vehicle
- Check & adjust clutch operation
- Check for rust & corrosion
- Check exhaust system
- Check brake pipes & hoses for leaks
- Check shock absorbers
- Inspect suspension
- Inspect drive shafts & gaiters
- Check all wheel bearings
- Check tyres and pressures
- Remove wheels where necessary
- Check brake pads for wear & binding
- Remove brake drums (where necessary)
- Inspect linings & cylinders, clean out

- Reassemble & adjust if necessary
- Check handbrake operation & adjustment
- Inspect steering joints and swivel for wear
- Inspect steering box/rack for wear
Under Bonnet
- Top up w/screen wash with additive
- Top up clutch fluid
- Replace brake fluid in reservoir
- Check battery electrolyte
- Check battery terminals, clean/tighten
- Check coolant system
- Test anti freeze
- Check power steering & top-up fluid
- Check/adjust all drive belts
- Top up Carb. fluid (if applicable)
- Check & clean engine breather system
- Replace air filter
- Replace fuel filter (if applicable)
- Replace spark plugs
- Replace pollen filter (if applicable)
- Replace contact breakers (if applicable)
- Inspect & clean HT leads, distributor cap, rotor & coil
- Check engine running, retune if necessary
- Carry out Engine Management Test if applicable
- Report extra work required
