- Test battery performance/condition
- Test coolant
- Top-up coolant
- Top-up power steering
- Check drive belts
- Check & clean engine breather system
- Replace air filter
- Replace fuel filter (if applicable)
- Replace spark plugs (when applicable)
- Replace pollen filter (if applicable)
- Check general engine running
- Carry out Engine Management System Test (if applicable)
- Report any additional work required

- Test wiper blades and arms
- Check and lubricate all catches and hinges
- Test shock absorbers
- Test clutch operation
- Road test
Under Vehicle
- Change engine oil and filter
- Check and top-up gearbox oil
- Check and top-up differential oil
- Test handbrake operation
- Carry out corrosion inspection
- Check brake pipes & hoses
- Check tyre wear and pressures
- Check front/rear brake pads/shoes and discs for wear
- Clean rear brake linings and drums (if applicable)
- Check exhaust system
- Inspect suspension bushes and joints
- Inspect drive shafts & gaiters
- Inspect steering joints and swivels
- Inspect steering rack/box for wear
- Check all wheel bearings
- Visual inpection of vehicle
